The workshop represents an educational pathway aimed at promoting European citizenship through participatory activities, debates, and civic education tools. The workshop seeks to strengthen awareness of European rights and duties, stimulate critical thinking, and encourage civic engagement, in line with the fundamental values of the European Union.
Who it is for: students, young people, citizens, volunteers, and anyone interested.
Through this workshop, we aim to provide participants with the opportunity to acquire practical skills and fundamental knowledge about how the democratic institutions of the European Union function, as well as about the ways in which they can contribute to improving the society in which they live. Participants will also gain knowledge about participation opportunities promoted by the European Commission that aim to strengthen transversal skills useful for the personal and professional development of individuals and for the formation of aware and responsible citizens.
Workshop Objectives:

to promote democratic participation and develop active citizenship skills;

to encourage discussion and the exchange of ideas on issues of public interest and on the ways individuals can contribute to improving their community;

to provide an overview of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme.
Workshop Content:

EU institutions and democratic processes;

Forms of active participation;

Practical action: mobility and training opportunities within ERASMUS+, youth exchanges, training courses, international volunteering, and local volunteering projects.
Implementation Method: activities structured around the principles of non-formal learning with an interactive and participatory approach.
Meeting period: late April – early June.
